First Bath

Emma had her first bath in the big girl bath tub a few days ago. I was worried that she would scream through the whole thing because thats what she did with her sponge baths. However, she was so relaxed! Too relaxed actually. She pooped in the water and we had to start all over! Oh well. One can only hope that she is this calm during all her baths!

2 weeks old

It's hard to believe that our baby girl is 2 weeks old already! She really is a good baby. She only cries when she is hungry or has bad gas :) She had her first doctors appointment today and her dr. said she's doing great. She currently weighs 8 lbs 2.5 ounces, up from her birth weight of 8lbs 1 oz. She is adorable and we have taken hundreds of pictures of her. She has had some big events lately. She went for her first ride in the stroller, which she loved, and went to her first baseball game. She also took her first trip to Target where we bought a swing. Let me just say that the swing is a BIG success! If you have called or emailed and I haven't called you back, I'm sorry. Please call me again!

Emma is here!

We are so excited to announce the arrival of Emma Catherine Lomicka on Tuesday, April 6th at 3:12 pm. She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and measured 21 inches long. She has a head full of brown hair and blue eyes. Labor and delivery went very smoothly, praise the Lord and now we are resting at home. So far she is a pretty calm baby, only crying when she is hungry or has bad gas bubbles. We are so completely in love with her and enjoying every moment as a family of 3!

Induction

After 40 long weeks, my time has finally come! I'm being induced tomorrow morning. We have to be at the hospital bright and early at 5am. Please be praying for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. We'll keep you all posted on the arrival of our little girl :)

40 weeks

Well, my due date has come and gone, and she's still not here. I guess it's true that the baby will come when it's ready because we have tried every "trick" in the book to put me into labor and NOTHING has worked. Yep, I said EVERY trick. Apparently she'll be here when she's ready and isn't too concerned about what I think. That doesn't make me too happy but there's not a lot I can do about it.

The picture is from last week when i was 39 weeks along, but I don't know that I look too different. We'll probably take a few pictures tomorrow after Easter service at church, so I'll post one of those.

How Far Along: 40 weeks 1 day

Baby Lomicka weighs: 7 1/2 to 8 pounds

Mama's weight gain: 15 pounds

Maternity clothes: all maternity jeans

Baby's Heart Rate: 150- 160

Gender: It's a Girl!

Cravings: Vanilla Coke, Goldfish crackers

What I miss most: sleeping on my stomach

Sleep: not that great. I have to pee 5 or 6 times a night

Symptoms: swollen feet/ankles

What I am looking forward to this week: Meeting my baby!!!!
