Day for the Dads

Well, Father's Day came and went for us with little fanfare. The day was mostly spent at home. I made breakfast, we took a walk, Matt opened presents, and we had a nice dinner.
Matt and I are very lucky to both have wonderful, caring fathers. We are so grateful for the guidance they've given us over the years. We are sure that Emma will love both of her Papa's very much.

Emma decided to go big for Matt's first Father's Day. She got him the Wii that he's been wanting for a while. As you can see, she was really into it ;) Matt is an amazing daddy. He's gentle and patient. He takes care of her and talks to her, and I love watching him with her. We love you babe!

2 Months

Is it possible that Emma is 2 months old already? I can't believe it! Here are some things about Emma at 2 months old.

She is 11 pounds exactly. She is just a shade under 24 inches long. She eats every 3-4 hours. She is now sleeping about 6-7 hours in a row at night. The girl is a NIGHT OWL! She generally doesn't fall asleep until about 10:30 or 11 and then sleeps until 5 or 6. She has recently decided that naps are for the birds. She now sleeps 10 minutes here and there but is not consistently napping for longer periods of time (we will soon be taking steps to change that). She wears a size 1 diaper and 3 month clothing. She smiles all the time and is talking and giggling too. She is particularly happy in the morning and dinner time. She still loves her bath and could relax in the tub for hours (just like her mama!) She is trying to roll over and is now putting more weight on her legs. She still hates tummy time, you should hear the screams! Above all, she is still the best thing that ever happened to us. We love you Emma Catherine!

Rambo Baby

This is what happens when Daddy babysits. He just cant seem to figure out how to put on her headbands correctly! She is pretty cute, even though she looks like she's channeling Rambo.
