39 weeks

Could time crawl by any slower? Honestly! My next drs appt. is April 5th (due to the fact that she's going on vacation until then). She said that if I haven't had the baby by then she'll induce me on the 6th. Please pray that I go into labor on my own LONG before then... like, today!



Pregnancy Highlights:



How far Along: 39 weeks



Baby Lomicka Weighs: 7 lbs 5 ounces according to the ultrasound, but who knows how accurate that is



Mama's weight gain: about 15 pounds



Baby's HeartRate: 160



Gender: GIRL :)



Maternity Clothes: jeans and pants, my own shirts still fit fine



Cravings: I ordered a pizza in the middle of the day the other day



What I miss most: Being able to move around easily, HOT baths



Sleep: Practically non-existent



Symptoms: being uncomfortable; nesting



What I'm looking forward to this week: Getting closer to meeting my baby girl!

Are you kidding me?!?!?

After my 37 week dr. appt. I am left wondering just how talented I am? How on EARTH did I manage to find the 2 doctors in this wide expanse of a city that are both going to be on vacation on my due date? That's right folks, the first Dr. (who I only went to once) told me she'd be gone for 2 weeks around my due date so whoever was on call would deliver me. Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. There were 13 other doctors in her practice and I wasn't down with that. So on to the new dr. I have been seeing her since November and I really like Dr. Z. I don't know if she just now scheduled her vacation or if she's known for a while, but today she tells me that she is going out of town next Friday and won't be back until Easter Sunday. Fabulous. Thanks so much. She'll be gone the entire week before my due date and 2 days after. If I go in to labor during that time, I'll be delivered by her partner, who I have never met. Lucky me. I sure know how to pick them. I guess there's not much I can do about it other than pray the baby comes before March 27th. Don't even think about suggesting that I could go later than my due date. It would not be wise :) The baby is looking good and she's getting ready to make her big debut. We can't wait to meet her!!

Weight Gain: 12 pounds

HeartRate: 140's

Gender: It's a girl!

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants

Cravings: Depends on the day. No real strong cravings

What I miss most: Sleeping on my stomach and steaming hot baths. I think those are the 2 things I have missed from the beginning.

Symptoms: Heartburn & constantly running to the bathroom

What I am looking forward to this week: being 1 week closer to meeting this little one!

36 weeks

Things are crazy around here! Our first floor is in disarray as we install wood floors. Now that the living room is finished and the furniture is back in, I feel a lot better. This weekend we are tackling the entry way and the dining room. My awesome husband is working so hard to get things finished as soon as possible. Can I just brag about him for a minute? He works so hard. He leaves every morning at 7 am and usually doesn't get home until about 6:15. For the last week, he has been coming home, changing straight into work clothes, inhaling his dinner, and working on the floors. Every night he works on the floors until about 10 or so before heading off to bed only to do it all again the next day. He is the best!

Now that I've got 4 weeks to go (fewer if I have anything to say about it) we're getting very excited to meet this little girl.
